Pastor - Nora Mendyk

Pastor Nora Mendyk assumed responsibilities of Trinity UMC/UCC in July of 2007.  She also pastors the Uehling 1^st Congregational Church.  Prior to this, she was an associate pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Omaha for two years.  Her other pastorates have been Giltner/Phillips UMC, and Henry/Lyman UMC.   The other churches she served as a Christian Education Director were 1^st UMC of Sterling, Illinois, Dixon UMC of Dixon, Illinois, and Asbury UMC of Webster City, Iowa.  Her three careers are Christian Education Director, Elementary School Teacher, and Pastor.  She has two young adult daughters along with her husband’s three young adult daughters.  Together they have 6 grandchildren.

Pastor Nora was born in Falfurrias, Texas.  Her family moved to the sandhills of Nebraska when she was two.  At age 9, another move enabled her to graduate from Kearney High School and start college at Kearney State.  She graduated from Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa.  In her Education Career, she earned her Masters at Chadron State College.  She has attended several seminaries in her pastoral career:  Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, Illinois and Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado. 

Pastor Nora enjoys the rural area that West Point provides.  She and her husband enjoy family, playing with Grandkids, music, and dancing.  They both enjoy experiencing worship and Christian fellowship.
